Day 5 and 6

March 22, 2020. 20:04

I now have a school packet. I haven't look through it much yet, but I had to wait to look through it in case it was contaminated. We let it sit for a little while before using it. I might get to hang out with my friend, but we would have to stay outside. I don't think we could touch each other either. At least I can still do video calls and text most of my friends. This quarantine lifestyle is difficult, but at least I know we can't starve. We have tons of popcorn at my stepdad's facility, so we might end up living off popcorn. That's okay. I love popcorn.

Day 4

March 20, 2020. 20:34

I have very unsettling news. A child came down with a case of COVID-19 (or coronavirus). This is awful. At first, we all thought kids weren't much of a problem because they couldn't be affected. But, it is still very rare that children get it. But they can still die from it. Anyway, today me and my mom went to pick up some school work packets. I didn't go inside though, too much risk of being infected. When she went in, she wore gloves and a mask. It's finally starting to sink in that this will be how I live my life for the next month. Over a month. Maybe even the next year. I hope it doesn't come to that.

Day 3

March 19, 2020. 19:51-

Today I followed the KhanAcademy schedule for my home school. It was pretty interesting. I had fun most of the time, but I still miss seeing my friends and leaving the house. Oh, my mom also told me that school might be closed down for the rest of the year just in case. I really hope it doesn't close, because there are some friends I have that I only see at school. Also, I've already planned most of my birthday party, and if there is no school it might mess it up. But, if it's better that school is closed, than it should be that way. I guess they are extra cautious because some teachers are old who they don't want catching the virus. I just thought my sixth grade year would end properly.

Day 2

March 17, 2020. 19:25-19:31

Nothing much else happened today. I did a some home school work. I'm still shocked that I won't be returning to school until April 27th. I really hope this virus goes away sooner than later. It's been a while since I left our home. We might get a video calling app so we can chat with our friends more. That's pretty much all I have to write about now. I hope everyone I know stays safe. But in reality, I don't think that's what will happen, but who knows how this will turn out.

Day 1

      March 16, 2020. 18:58-19:10

So far, we have managed to avoid the virus. I miss seeing all my friends, interacting with the outside world, and going to school. My stepbrother, Simon, came home today. But he is on quarantine away from us. He is staying in the addition of our house. My dad also dropped us off at my moms house. We can't go back to his house for a week. School will be closed til April 27. That's pretty much all that has happened around here. In China, I heard things are finally settling down. That's good, I guess. Even if it's near the end for China, it is still only the beginning in Boothbay, Maine.
